It's been months since I used this journal as more than a replacement for Floo calls. Long story short? Back at that night at the Hog's Head Inn (when apparently half the population was in -- good to see all the familiar faces, by the way) someone asked if I still was snapping pictures for a hobby. It's less these days, but yeah.
Consider the following three as my attempting to make up for the prolonged silence.

Crepuscular rays. I could tell you how long I sat here trying to remember those two words, but it's really nothing to boast. I had a lot of free time and then some. Slow night. Someone attempted to start a brawl. All due credit for trying, but they never work if the crowd isn't feeling up to it. It possibly has something to do with being the Day That Isn't Friday.

Order of the Phoenix:Charity is telling me one of her co-workers hasn't been seen at work in about a week and a half. No notice of going on holiday, either. She's half-blood and works in the Muggle-Liaison department.
I'm going to check her house, but I'd appreciate someone coming with.

Order of the Phoenix, excepting Dedalus Diggle:Aside from the fact that I likely will need someone to stop me from strangling Diggle myself at this present moment for warding a completely inexcusable reply to my ex-wife about the passing of her mother, what are we going to do with him?
He has no filter whatsoever.

The story behind it? None in particular. I was out for a walk, and I happened upon this. I never understood the reasons behind staging photographs when the world provides.
Private:It's slowed down in here to the point where I can hear my thoughts again, and even the headache potion seems to be working decently enough that I'm able to listen to them. I don't know if that's good or bad, but it is what it is.
I've mostly gotten past the 'if only' stage of what happened to Margaret. Fact is that we didn't expect it, and no amount of wishing I'd been there on that Monday will change anything. I hope she's at peace now, but there's very little I wouldn't give for answers about why it happened and who did it to help cope on my own terms. Maybe that's still the anger talking. I don't know how to let go of it knowing what I do about what they did to her. Perhaps you simply don't.
And Charity. She'll be staying a short bit longer. I owe it to Benj for being fine with the arrangement until she returns home. I don't know what more to say than there was a time before I knew her, there was a time when we were married, another when we didn't speak, and now she's there again when I wake up in the morning. At least for a few more days.

Order of the Phoenix:There's been another murder by Death Eaters, this time in Cardiff. Aurors are already here, but I'm forwarding it along to the rest of you. I don't think there's much most of us can do now that it's in Ministry hands. They're watching everything.
I knew her. I knew the victim, so I'm staying at the scene for the time being.
Just take care out there tonight.

Private: Thinking the solution to not neglecting this journal might be taking down needed groceries as I think them up. I suppose it's better than nothing.
Butter.
Coffee.
Bread.
Definitely not much for this journal concept, in retrospect. And I think we have coffee still.
Public: 
I considered writing something about this, but seems fitting to leave it as is. Just something to think about that has no consequences for being thought of or commented on. Or not commented on, I guess.
